1. REVISION SECTION

🔹 Topic 1: Place Value & Expanded Form (Indian & International)

  • Place Value: Value of a digit depends on its position in a number.
  • Indian System groups: Ones, Thousands, Lakhs, Crores
  • International System groups: Ones, Thousands, Millions, Billions



Example (Indian System): Number: 5,43,20,000

  • 5 Crore + 43 Lakh + 20 Thousand + 0 Hundreds + 0 Tens + 0 Ones

Expanded Form: 5,00,00,000 + 40,00,000 + 3,00,000 + 20,000




Same Number in International System:

54.32 million or 54,320,000



🔹 Topic 2: Compare & Order Numbers

  • Always compare from leftmost digit
  • Ascending → Small to Big

Descending → Big to Small




Example: Arrange in ascending order: 4,56,78,900; 4,56,79,000; 4,56,78,899 ✔️ Answer: 4,56,78,899 < 4,56,78,900 < 4,56,79,000





🔹 Topic 3: Skip Counting

Skip counting means adding the same number repeatedly.



Example (Skip by 9,000 from 8,10,000): → 8,19,000 → 8,28,000 → 8,37,000 → 8,46,000 → 8,55,000
